I have a wonderful salad bar out in my back yard!
Ok, it looks delicious if you’re a plant… This is compost at stage one. I keep a plain five gallon bucket just outside my kitchen door, and drop in all my veggie clippings, eggshells, coffee grounds and fruit peels. This pile of rubibish is going to slowly decompose. After it breaks down, it’s going to provide lots of nutrients and energy for growing plants, both indoors and outdoors.
I pile it all into my trusty old compost bin. There, it mixes and mooshes and becomes rich brown dirt.
Now that’s just as nutritious as any salad bar!
